Osama Bin Laden Nearly Messed up my Plans

Anyway, one of the girls I went to school with works for CNN, so I met up with her for lunch and she offered me a tour of the newsroom, etc. It was very exciting. However, Osama bin Laden decided to release his tape today, so we weren't sure if we were going to get to go into the studio because CNN was on live at the time. I did manage to get a tour, which was extremely interesting. I got to see where they scan tapes for sound bytes, the production room where they had feeds queued up, and the studio itself. Daryn Kagan was in the studio while I was there.

While I was in the studio, they were receving a live feed from the White House. The seminar I am at is very interesting, but the CNN tour has to be the highlight of my trip.
